Update invoice settings from the SumUp App

To find your Invoice Settings, open the Invoices menu from the More tab of your SumUp App. Tap the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen to open up your Invoice Settings. Now you can edit any of the fields listed.

Update invoice settings from the Dashboard

  1. Login to your SumUp Dashboard at me.sumup.com.

  2. From the menu on the left hand side of the page, click on “Invoices”.

  3. From “Invoices”, click “Company” 

  4. Depending on the type of business you have, click either “Sole Proprietorship” or “Company”

  5. Edit any of the fields listed

  6. Open the SumUp App and log in

  7. Tap on "More” at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen

  8. Tap “Invoices” (underneath the My Business section)

  9. Tap the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen

  10. Edit any of the fields listed

List of invoice settings 

Company Logo

Within the SumUp App:

To upload your official company logo through the SumUp App, tap on the blue circle icon with the initials of your business name. This will bring up a menu where you can choose a logo from existing photos or files that will appear on all your future invoices.

Within the SumUp Dashboard:

To upload or change your official company logo through the Dashboard, click on “Add your logo here” at the top of the company page. This will bring up a menu where you can choose a logo from existing photos or files that will appear on all your future invoices.

Business Name and Address

Here you can change the business name and address that appears on your invoice. For registered businesses, you should use your business’ registered legal name, while sole traders should use your full name as your business name. Additionally, you can update the address where your business registered. The country automatically defaults to the country tied to your SumUp Profile upon registration.

Business Contact Details

You can easily change the email address and phone number that appears on your invoices. Have a website you want to include? You can also add your website here and it’ll be mirrored on your invoices.

Tax and registration

Here, you can decide how you want taxes to be applied to your invoices. When the Apply Tax toggle is turned on (blue), taxes will be added on top of the invoice total. When the Apply Tax toggle is turned off (grey), taxes will not be added to the invoice. If you would like to have your EIN/Tax ID published on the invoices you send customers, you can enter your EIN/Tax ID in the field. You can leave this field blank if you’d prefer not to have your EIN/Tax ID appear on invoices.

Invoice Terms and Notes

You can easily enter notes or instructions for your customers that will automatically appear on future invoices. For example, you can include your preferred payment or contact instructions. Save your changes by tapping “Done” in the top-right corner and this content will appear on your future invoices.

Note: You have access to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy of SumUp Invoices, by simply clicking on “Legal Documentation” at the bottom of your screen on the SumUp App, or by clicking “Account” in the left-hand side menu of the Dashboard.

Important

Anytime you update information in any of these fields, remember to tap “Done” in the SumUp App, or “Finish” in the Dashboard to save your changes.
